Last weekend the Chilipoker DSO 2011 took place at the Casino de Marrakech, with French player Clément Bonin finishing 1st and taking home €24,789 against runner-up Imran Fouiden.

226 players booked their trip to Marrakech one week before Christmas to take part to the Main Event Winter edition of the Chilipoker DSO Marrakech 2011. Sun, poker and fun were as always the key ingredients of that stage, the last one of the Chilipoker DSO Season 2.

Many regular players of the DSO and of the Casino de Marrakech joined the luxurious Es Saadi Resort, among them the final winner of the WPT Marrakech of last October Mohamed Ali Houssam, who finished at a remarkable 5th place. Players from France, Morocco, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain, Poland and from all over Europe fought during three days at the Main Event and the two Side Events (€330 and €220).

During that weekend of poker, the three best DSO players of 2011 also got rewarded by winning one year of DSO Packages for 2012 after finishing in the top 3 of the annual DSO leaderboard, based together on players performances all along the year and their DSO VIP status. German player Daniel Dankelmann and the two French players Nadege Thomas and Serge Mignot will form the DSO Team in 2012 and will play for free the 7 stages scheduled in 2012: Cannes, Paris, Malta, Vienna, Marrakech, and the two new stages: Ibiza in April and Las Vegas in June.

In 2011, nearly 3,000 players traveled all over Europe to play one of the six stages in Lloret de Mar, Cannes, Marrakech, Malta and Vienna, and shared a total prizepool of more than one million euros!

The first stage of the Chilipoker DeepStack Open Season 3 will start between March 14th-18th at the Casino Barrière Croisette in Cannes. Last year, that same stage broke the record of participants with 526 players in the €550 Main Event.
